July 25, 2024 – With consistently high scores across the board, Viera High School has been awarded a “A” grade by the Florida Department of Education for the 2023-24 school year. Brevard County schools, taken collectively also got an A.
March 4, 2024 – The students at Viera High School are busy, talented and impressive in the arts, in the sciences and on the field.
December 15, 2023 – The Viera Hawks wrestling team are the District Duals Champions.
December 5, 2023 – Viera High School can be proud of the seven band and orchestra students and the five vocalists chosen for All-State Honors.
October 12, 2023 – Jeffrey Draves, the Social Studies Department chairman at Viera High School, was recently named the 2023 Florida Council for the Social Studies (FCSS) Dr. Theron Trimble Social Studies Teacher of the Year.
July 17, 2023 – Heather LeGate has been named the new principal at Viera High School.
February 23, 2023 – We wish to congratulate Viera High Science Research students for their achievements at the Brevard Public Schools Regional Science and Engineering Fair awards.
December 11, 2022 – Eleven members of the VHS instrumental music program (a school record) are heading to All-State Music Conference, along with two students from the vocal music program.
November 14, 2022 – In a nail-biting and valiant effort, the Viera Hawks Varsity Girls Volleyball team came this close to taking it all at the Florida 6A volleyball state championship.
September 13, 2022 – This last weekend the cross-country teams from Viera High School had a great run.
August 15, 2022 – Baseball catcher Alex Sosa has been selected to play in the 2022 Baseball Factory All-America Game.
May 7. 2022 – In the field of athletics, the school was proud to announce that 14 student athletes from the Class of 2022 recently signed their National Letter of Intent (NLI).
March 31, 2022 – The students at Viera High School are fierce competitors. Recently, the Hawks have excelled in the Odyssey of the Mind (OM™) competition and at the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit (FFCC), where two Viera High teams excelled.
December 15, 2021 – Congratulations to the nine instrumental music students from Viera High School who auditioned for and were presented with All-State honors.
