January 1, 2025 – Showing remarkable intelligence in one so young, Betty-Rose Freeman entered this world in Viera less than a half hour into the new year, taking advantage of the birth suites at Viera Hospital.

December 31, 2024 – Taking it right up to the wire, the final launch for 2024 took place on the last day of the year when a Falcon 9 blasted off from Kennedy Space Center, just a few miles from Viera. The launch also easily broke last year’s record by 29%, marking up 93 launches for the annual tally.
December 29, 2024 – By successfully completing a hotfire test, a new space vehicle will be joining the roster of launches here on the Space Coast of Florida.

December 23, 2024 – Recently, Todd Pokrywa, President of the Viera Company, along with some colleagues from Viera worked with 7th and 8th graders at DeLaura Middle School on Florida’s Space Coast to share these simple, yet valuable skills.
December 19, 2024 – Viera Charter School has been named a ““Purple Star School of Distinction”.
December 18, 2024 – Viera Charter School has once again challenged students to participate in Brevard County Schools Innovation Games. This is the third year the school has put a team together, with this years roster including nine students
December 12, 2024 – The judges awarded the Viera percussionist with a remarkable score of 97.46, placing them in second place in the PASIC Concert Chamber Percussion Ensemble Competition.
December 4, 2024 – The Viera Voice annual Bright Lights Battle is about to light up the night sky as local homeowners vie for the eyeballs of Traveling Holiday Decoration Lovers (THDLs – ok, we made that name and acronym up, but the battle is real).
November 21, 2024 – Viera High School continues to impress with the quality of the student athletes, and last week another group of young men joined the ranks of champions by taking the Class 3A State title.
November 15, 2024 – The Brevard Zoo in Viera has expanded their Expedition Africa area, including an all new permanent habitat for their three lion residents , Chobe, Karoo, and Ruaha.
November 13, 2024 – On Saturday, November 9th, Viera welcomed its newest fire station, #49, with a well-attended event and a traditional hose uncoupling.
November 12, 2024 – Yesterday was a Veterans Day treat for space aficionados, when SpaceX sent two Falcon 9 rockets on missions about 4 hours apart.
November 7, 2024 – Viera practitioner Dr. Angela McNeight has been selected by Incisal Edge as one of the magazine’s 40 Under 40 Top Dentists in America for 2024.
