Space Coast Sled Hockey 3×3 Summer Challenge

June 20, 2024 – There is a cool fundraising event coming up this Sunday in support of Space Coast Sled Hockey, and The Viera Company is proud to be a sponsor. Todd Pokrywa, President, The Viera Company, will be participating in this community fundraising event.

“I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the Space Coast Sled Hockey 3×3 Summer Challenge at the Space Coast Iceplex on June 23, 2024!” Pokrywa said. “This fundraising event benefits disabled sled hockey players by helping to provide ice time and support for the team.”

Space Coast Sled Hockey, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, is a competitive sled hockey team made up of individuals who are single and double amputees, paraplegics, and those with various disabilities. They come together to play the adaptive sport of sled hockey, providing a sense of community and camaraderie for all involved. The players demonstrate determination, perseverance, and a spirit to enjoy life. The organization strives to ensure that money is not an obstacle to the players’ participation. Due to all the medical expenses and other expenses these players endure, the goal is to create a healthy lifestyle that will support them in both physical and mental health.
