One of the BEST PLACES TO LIVE: Even Better Than Last Year
July 16, 2021 – U.S. News & World Report is known for the careful methodology they use to rate cities on the Best Places to Live list. And the metro area that includes Viera jumped ten places this year to be ranked 18th, above places like Tampa, Boston, Houston and Seattle.
According to the website: “U.S. News analyzed the 150 most populous metro areas to find the best places to live. To rank high on the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, and have a strong job market and a high quality of life.
“U.S. News & World Report’s Best Places to Live rankings are intended to help readers make the most informed decision when choosing where to settle down. Metro areas in the rankings are evaluated using data from sources including the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Labor and U.S. News’ own internal resources. This data was categorized into five indexes and evaluated using a methodology determined by Americans’ preferences.”
The five indexes are: Job Market, Value, Quality of Life, Desirability and Net Migration (measures people moving to or away from the area.)
