It’s been named as the “Best Cruise Homeport” by Cuise Hive five times and cruise passengers have helped make the Port one of the busiest in the world. But that doesn’t mean the organization will be sitting on its laurels.

December 31, 2024 – Taking it right up to the wire, the final launch for 2024 took place on the last day of the year when a Falcon 9 blasted off from Kennedy Space Center, just a few miles from Viera. The launch also easily broke last year’s record by 29%, marking up 93 launches for the annual tally.

November 12, 2024 – Yesterday was a Veterans Day treat for space aficionados, when SpaceX sent two Falcon 9 rockets on missions about 4 hours apart.
July 12, 2024 – Port Canaveral welcomed the highly anticipated Utopia of the Seas, as the Royal Caribbean ship arrived stateside at the port on Thursday.
June 3, 2024 – Recently, KSC Director Janet Petro took an aerial tour and described the future of landing the next humans of the lunar surface and enabling a long-term human presence in deep space.
