Viera High Outperforms Peers – Gets An A
July 7, 2022 – The Florida Department of Education has released school grades and once again Viera High School is an A school, according to Sarah Robinson, Principal Viera High School.
“Despite the challenges of the pandemic the past few years,” said Robinson, “we saw significant gains in our student achievement in many categories and continue to consistently outperformed the district and state averages.”
The graduation rate for Viera High increased to 98% with 76% of students graduating with college and career acceleration.
There were increases in the following school grade categories from previous year:
- English Language Arts Learning Gains,
- English Language Arts Learning Gains for Lowest 25%,
- Math Achievement,
- Math Learning Gains,
- Math Learning Gains for the Lowest 25%,
- Science Achievement,
- Social Studies Achievement,
- College and Career Acceleration,
- Graduation Rate
