VIERA HAWKS Achieve in Acadamics
June 10, 2019 — It’s graduation time in Viera, and the class of 2019 received significant accolades.
Particularly important to point out is that twenty seven of this year’s Viera H. S. graduates were named Principal Scholars, meaning each of the twenty seven achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA (Grade Point Average) throughout their high school years.
Specific competitions included the Academy of Business and Finance 2019 Entrepreneurial Competition where VHS Seniors placed 2nd. Each student on the team receives a $10,000 renewable scholarship to Florida Institute of Technology. The Academic Spanish Club team members won 1st Place at the Florida State Spanish Conference. The Viera H.S. Future Problem Solvers Team received a 1st and 2nd place to rank overall 5th place at the Presentation of Action Plan State Competition. The National Ocean Sciences Bowl Team placed in the top 20 of 350 teams across the nation.

Amazingly, total estimated scholarship awards for outgoing Viera graduating seniors totaled an estimated $2.5 million.
