NEW MASCOT Unveiled for Viera Elementary School

June 11, 2020 – Viera Elementary School Principal, Adrienne Schwab, unveiled the new mascot for the school. Colors are navy, white and gray, which are reflected throughout the school. The Falcons mascot was selected with input from the community. Falcons ranked high on the list.

“We wanted to touch on what is around this area and what’s happening with space history,” Schwab said, “With our school being a futuristic school, focusing a lot on STEM and the latest technologies we wanted to incorporate the space history as well.”

The final decision, after input and much consideration, reflects the fact that falcons can be found at Viera Wetlands and our area is seeing the amazing flight of the Falcon rocket ships. The choice also highlights the journey of education the students take in Viera.

“Starting as a Falcon and finishing as a Hawk (at Viera High School) would be what we’re hoping for these students.”

Viera Elementary School is near completion. June 29th all the furniture arrives. The new school in Viera will be ready to go for the new school year.  Watch a drone video of the school here.
