Viera’s Todd Pokrywa and Team Help Raise Millions for Cancer Research

October 10, 2023 – Todd Pokrywa, President, The Viera Company has a management style that is all about teamwork.

Teamwork is also essential in Viera’s commitment to charitable works. Recently, the Team Viera road hockey squad once again traveled to Toronto, Canada, where they helped raise $3.15 million for cancer research during the Princess Margaret Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer tournament.

“Thanks to my amazing teammates,” Pokrywa said, ”and our generous supporters for helping us place in the top 25 fundraising teams, benefiting one of the top five cancer research centers in the world. It was an awesome day for an important cause.”

A native of Canada, Pokrywa has always been a keen Hockey enthusiast, both as a player and from the stands. Combining his love of the sport with philanthropy is a win-win.

“I would also like to send a special thanks to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Jackson Events Inc. for planning what was again an incredible experience for Team Viera.” Pokrywa said.

Todd Pokrywa is actively involved in the community and the real estate development industry at the local, state, and national levels. He graduated with honors from the University of Waterloo, Canada, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning. He earned a master’s degree in administration with a specialization in organizational leadership from the University of South Dakota. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Todd relocated to Florida in 1995. He is an avid ice hockey enthusiast. He lives in Brevard County with his wife, Cyndi.
