Viera has record day in girls golf

The Viera High girls golf team established a program record on Tuesday, shooting a low team score of 292 to win the Region 6-3A championship at Royal St. Cloud.

It was the fourth consecutive regional title for the Hawks and the seventh overall. Manon Donche-Gay, with a 67, and Briana Gabe, with a 69, led the team with under-par scores. Mary Kate Smith was next with a 74.
