Viera Charter School Brings A-Game to Innovation

December 18, 2024 – Viera Charter School has once again challenged students to participate in Brevard County Schools Innovation Games. This is the third year the school has put a team together, with this years roster including nine students. The students showed off their STEM skills by submitting entries in “submitted submersible,” “video,” “entrepreneurial,” and “solar car” projects. And the solar car team won first place.

STEM education is the intentional integration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to create a student-centered learning environment. During STEM education, students use multiple disciplines to investigate and engineer solutions to problems and to construct evidence-based explanations of real-world scenarios.

Congratulations to Viera Charter School and the participating students for putting in the time and energy to compete in this worthwhile endeavor.
