Fly Like An Eagle
February 17, 2021 – A sophomore at Viera High, Rebecca Devoid has become one of the first females in the nation to earn the honor of Eagle Scout.
Devoid’s Eagle Scout project was to design and build a 780-gallon rainwater collection system at Erna Nixon Park in West Melbourne. The project also helps visitors at the park to become more aware of how polluted rainwater runoff is harmful for the Indian River Lagoon.
Being a student at Viera High, Devoid is a Hawk as well as an Eagle.
Viera congratulates Rebecca Devoid on her hard work and significant achievement in earning the Eagle Scout designation as a member of Scouts BSA Troop 4373 of Boy Scouts America.
