Drive In Concerts BY REQUEST

September 3, 2020 – The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra continues to find innovative ways to perform in the days of social distancing.  A drive-up program crafted by its audience: Fan Favorites Redux will be presented at 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 12 at the Avenue Viera. The result of hundreds of requests over 11 performing seasons, Fan Favorites Redux is chock full of popular works by Gershwin, Ravel, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Rossini, Beethoven and more.

“We have a list 11 seasons long of favorites the audience would love to hear,” said Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Conductor and Artistic Director, Aaron T. Collins. “Nevertheless, we’ve tried hard to satisfy as many requests as possible with this really diverse program of great music.”

Tickets for the drive-up concerts are $10 per person or $25 per carful of adults at SpaceCoastSymphony.org or Marine Bank & Trust branches in Suntree. The orchestra’s usual year-round performances have been significantly curtailed by the COVID-19 pandemic. But the success of its drive-in summer concerts has presented a way forward for the innovative musical organization: the SCSO will be performing out of doors through December — with hopes of returning to the concert hall in the very early months of 2021.
