December 22, 2021 – Coming soon, Port Canaveral will be the homeport for the largest cruise ship in the world.  Clocking in at a mind-blowing 1,188 feet and 236,857 tons, the Wonder of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International will offer seven day cruises from the port.

Destination highlights include Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and San Juan, Puerto Rico; and each cruise will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in The Bahamas that features thrill and chill – from the tallest waterslide in North America to The Bahamas’ first floating cabanas.

A ship this big can really pack in the fun. It boasts eight unique neighborhoods, each with its own flare, like the global flavors of Windjammer, the burgers and dogs at Johnny Rockets or the gourmet selections at Wonderland.

The pool deck has been redesigned and the AquaTheater combines top entertainment with ocean views. The new Playscape is an underwater world with slides, climbing walls and games, Flowrider lets guest enjoy surfing while staying in one place,  and Ultimate Abyss is the tallest slide at sea, allowing riders to plunge 10 stories – in the dark.

Just about anything you can imagine can be found on the Wonder of the Seas and starting in November, the residents at Viera will be able to jump aboard just by visiting nearby Port Canaveral. Leave your car at home, take an Uber and take to the seas.
