Viera Hawks Soccer Caps An Impressive Year
February 22, 2022 – The soccer program at Viera High School has had an excellent year, with both boys and girls soccer teams fighting for state championships. The girls wrapped their impressive season at the state semifinal game on February 18 in Neptune Beach, where Fletcher High School managed to get a 3-1 victory.
The Viera Hawks boys soccer team will compete in the Class 6A championship game against the defending champions from Doral Academy. Doral stopped the Hawks last year in the state semifinal round, so there are sure to be strong feelings from the players as they head into Spec Martin Stadium in Deland.
The game starts at 1:05 p.m. on February 26, so even if you can’t be there in person join us in cheering on the Hawks in their first state final and wish them the best of luck.
No matter what the outcome of the game, we congratulate both the girls and the boys soccer teams for an outstanding year. Go Hawks!
