Former Viera High Student Drafted by NFL

May 3, 2021 – Tre Nixon became the first football star from Viera High School to get the nod from the National Football League when he was drafted as a seventh round pick for the New England Patriots.

Before his outstanding college career, Nixon helped the Viera Hawks take their first two district championships and competed in the Class 7A state championship game in 2015.

His senior year stats at Viera are impressive: 74 caught passes for 1,224 yards and 18 touchdowns; Florida Dairy Farmers Class 7A Player of the Year while being named by the Associated Press and USA Today to the first-team All-State roster.

Viera congratulates Tre Nixon on his amazing achievement and wishes him continued success in the NFL.
