Season Finale is ‘The Best of John Williams‘
SCSO plays music of legendary Hollywood composer
The Empire Strikes Back. Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. All of these movies have something in common: Powerful film scores by Hollywood’s most lauded composer, John Williams. Fans of the legendary composer can hear an entire concert devoted to these and other blockbuster hits when the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra presents,
will allow concertgoers to hear many of their favorite themes in a live orchestral performance, including music from such films as Jaws, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, The Cowboys, JFK, Far and Away and more. Select youth musicians from around Central Florida will perform side-by-side on the second half of the program with their professional SCSO counterparts, bringing the total number of players onstage to over 120. Cosplay enthusiasts of all ages are invited to come dressed in costume inspired by their favorite John Williams’ film.
$35 tickets for The Best of John Williams are available through the orchestra website at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank & Trust in Suntree. Tickets at the door are $40. Concertgoers aged 18 and under or with a college ID are admitted free to every SCSO concert.
