Port Canaveral ECONOMIC REPORT

October 30, 2018 — The power and economic influence of Port Canaveral is growing in Central Florida. According to an article by Dave Berman, Florida Today, the Canaveral Port Authority reported revenue of $103.75 million for the budget year that ended Sept. 30.

A MERGER OF GIANTS

October 15, 2018 – Harris Corporation and L3 Technologies, Inc. have agreed to combine in an all stock merger of equals to create a global defense technology leader. The combined company to be named L3 Harris Technologies, Inc., will be the 6th largest defense company in the U.S. and a top 10 defense company globally, with customers in over 100 countries.

September 25, 2018–Guacamole, a 285-lb green sea turtle, was released by Brevard Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center on September 24, the first rehabilitated adult green sea turtle released by the Healing Center.
