Head Shaving Event Raises Almost $80K
March 17, 2025 – Space Coast residents donated their full heads of hair to help raise money for kids with cancer at the 15th Annual Space Coast Conquers event in Central Park at The Avenue Viera on March 15. The event brought in an impressive $79,526 towards a goal of $90K. It appears that donations are still being accepted at St Baldricks.org.

Hosted by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the event saw lines of people happily waiting for their chance to be shorn like a sheep, all in a good cause.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor-powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

Guests supported the cause by raising funds and participating in the signature head-shaving event.
Viera thanks the foundation and all the people who bared their scalps to help find cures for kids with cancer. What a cool way to get ready for a Florida summer.
