Home to the USSSA Space Coast Amateur Sports Complex

This $32 million Space Coast Stadium Complex project, undertaken in partnership by USSSA and Brevard County, is transforming the landmark stadium and its adjacent training areas into an athletic hub like no other.

USSSA Space Coast Complex is located in Viera, FL and home to the world’s largest multi-sport athletic organization. The complex has 15 AstroTurf fields including five NCAA Softball approved fields, five NCAA Baseball approved fields, and three fields equipped with video scoreboards. USSSA Space Coast Complex is located in Brevard County with over 72 miles of coastline and beaches and only 45 minutes from the Orlando Airport.

Space Coast Stadium is a brand new all AstroTurf complex complete with 15 fields, three high definition video boards on three stadium fields, covered batting cages, and Flightscope.

USSSA has over 4 million participants across all amateur sports categories worldwide, competing in 14 nationally sanctioned sports including Baseball, Fastpitch, Slow Pitch, Karate, Basketball, Soccer and more!

WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF a 160-team tournament, bringing in 2,800 athletes and 7,000 plus moms and dads and other family members?

Lots of hotel nights, restaurants full, spending in county and people learning about Viera and the Space Coast.

  • The USSSA organization is expected to generate 75,000 nights of hotel room rentals in 2018, its first year of operation
  • Room nights are expected to increase to 100,000 a year by its third year of operation.
  • Assuming a hotel room rents for an average of $100 a night, that would generate $375,000 in Tourist Development Tax in Year 1 and $500,000 a year by Year 3.
  • This area will become the youth and amateur sports destination in the country
  • An additional 75 non-USSSA events are planned in the 8,100 seat all turf stadium complex per year.

At The Stadium

At the Space Coast Stadium Complex in Viera are baseball and softball tournaments, including USSSA Pride, Women’s Softball.

Highlights:

  • WBSC Women’s Baseball World Cup® 2018– 8th edition of the women’s baseball world championship will be held from 22-26 August this year at USSSA’s new headquarters, the USSSA Space Coast Complex, in Viera. It will mark the first time the Women’s Baseball World Cup is staged in the U.S.
