VHS PRINCIPAL SCHOLARS in top 10% of Graduates

March 4, 2026 – It’s difficult to believe that graduation season is almost here for another year. As the seniors at Viera High School gather up their caps and gowns and get ready to say farewell to the fun and stress of high school, Viera would like to take a moment to congratulate all of them and give a shout out to this year’s Principal Scholars for a job well done.

Principal Scholars not only have to show they excelled academically but were also well-rounded in other activities. To be considered, students must meet criteria that includes community involvement of volunteer or work hours, and school involvement in extra-curricular activities such as sports, clubs, band and other activities. They also must meet the College and Career Acceleration requirement of a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher.

Students must also fill out an application and respond to essay prompts.

We are amazed at the dedication and energy that is needed to achieve this goal.
