RUN RUN SANTA DELIVERS FOR CHARITY
December 22, 2025 – Santas are everywhere at this time of year. Not only is the jolly old elf holding court at The Avenue Viera (calendar), but you can also find some clever imposters performing unlikely feats like the Surfing Santas that congregate on Cocoa Beach on Christmas Eve morning. That’s quite a sight, when thousands of Santas take to the waves.
And this past weekend a ten-year tradition continued here in Viera, when more than 1,200 runners donned their best festive red and white and dashed away all as part of the 2025 Run Run Santa 1 Mile. On a beautiful and sunny Florida morning at 7:30 a.m. on December 20 the crowd seemed to be in a hurry to raise some cash to benefit the Calvary Chapel Youth Program.
There is always something special happening in Viera. If you find yourself walking along when 1,200 Santas rush toward you, don’t be alarmed. They aren’t after you because you’ve been naughty. Isn’t that nice?
