March 9, 2026 – Port Canaveral had more than 8.6 million passenger movements in FY 2025 and approximately 80% of those passengers drive to get here. With this many people moving through Florida’s Space Coast and Viera, the Port is upgrading facilities, including parking.
Designed to accommodate passengers sailing from Port Canaveral’s Cruise Terminals 5 and 6, a $93 million new parking facility is the largest and most complex parking garage ever constructed at the Port, with the 13-story facility scheduled to open in fall 2026.

Once the new garage is in service, Port Canaveral will offer nearly 17,500 parking spaces across eight different garages and surface lots port wide to accommodate cruise guests’ parking needs, further solidifying its distinction as one of the country’s leading drive-to markets.
Encompassing more than 1.2 million total square feet, the new garage will feature eight extra-large elevators, each able to accommodate multiple passengers and their luggage. Twin two-lane vehicle ramps will expedite vehicular traffic through the garage floors, while two vehicle connecting bridges will allow access to the adjacent recently constructed CT6 west garage. In addition, a pedestrian bridge will provide passengers with easy access to the Cruise Terminal 5 entrance.
The world’s busiest cruise port, Port Canaveral is currently home to seven leading cruise brands operating over 1,000 sailings from 18 ships, including some of the newest, largest, and most technically advanced ships in the world offering a wide range of itineraries, from weekend getaways to week-long adventures and beyond, visiting some of the world’s most spectacular destinations.
