Port Canaveral to Add Two New Parking Garages
August 26, 2023 – Viera is a great place to call home, but once in a while you may have a yen to stretch your sea legs on board one of the many ships that set sail from the busiest cruise port in the world. We are only a few minutes away from Port Canaveral, where almost 6 million passengers passed through the gates on their way to adventure.
Naturally, the first question you have is: where do they all park?
Canaveral Port Authority is working to at least partially answer that by providing on-site parking and they have now announced that by 2024, two more massive parking garages will be ready to accommodate people who arrive by car.
The two new garages will be able to hold more than 2,500 cars and will serve three of the port’s busy terminals.
Of course, if you live in Viera you can always have a friend drop you off at the port, or take an Uber, but if you must park, it’s nice to know there will soon be thousands more places to do it.
