Port Canaveral Expands Cargo Business
July 27, 2026 – You probably already know that Port Canaveral is one of the busiest and most popular spots for cruising in the world, but the port is also an economic engine in terms of shipping and receiving cargo. Recently, the port has added to this business, as well.
The new service by Green Tide Logistics is expected to be on a bi-monthly basis with opportunities to scale frequency based on market demand, according to a port press release. GT USA will serve as terminal operator and stevedore for the new service.
Each call is projected to bring between 80 and 120 import containers carrying an array of commodities, including electronics, refrigerated cargo, fresh produce and other food products. Export opportunities are also being actively developed as the service matures.
Florida’s Space Coast is a thriving area for business and with all the rockets being launched it’s easy to forget that there are other industries making just as much impact.
