Health First New Birthing Suites Ribbon Cutting Celebration

August 16, 2024 – Expectant parents will soon have a great option with the new Health First Viera Hospital Birthing Suites. The official ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday.

The public was invited to tour the new state-of-the-art labor and delivery unit on the fifth floor of Viera Hospital—and many took advantage of the opportunity.

According to Health First, Labor & Delivery is moving from Cape Canaveral Hospital to Viera Hospital because, “Our plans for the Viera Hospital migration are motivated by patient convenience, access, and demand. As we consider our mission – delivering accessible wellness services to all of Brevard County – it makes sense to move Labor & Delivery services from Cape Canaveral to Viera, one of the fastest growing areas in our region. This relocation allows us to meet the needs of our community by delivering quick, convenient access for Labor & Delivery care to an expanding population of families.”
