NEW LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER TO BREAK GROUND IN VIERA

October 31, 2025 – Viera will be the site of a new Regional Law Enforcement Center and the groundbreaking for the facility will be held on November 14th at 1 p.m. The location is near many of the existing government buildings on property between the Brevard County Health Department and the Government Complex.

The facility is designed to allow local, state and federal officers to train side-by-side, sharing resources, developing best practices and preparing for modern challenges.

The Brevard facility will join a statewide network of academies which utilize the Florida’s law enforcement training infrastructure, certified through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC).

Full construction timelines and funding details have not been announced, but when built the complex will also serve as home for several divisions within the Sheriff’s Office.
