Florida’s Space Coast Launches Are On A Record Pace

October 27, 2023 – With 57 space launches in 2022 and with 2023 already surpassing that number on the way to an expected total of more than 70 for the year, the business of putting crews and equipment into space has not seen activity like this since the days of the Gemini program in the 1960s.

Companies and organizations that are either launching now or are scheduled to do so in the near future include: SpaceX, United Launch Alliance, Boeing, Relativity Space, Astra Space, Phantom Space, Vaya Space, Stoke Space, ABL Space Systems, and Blue Origin. NASA’s Space Launch Systems is also working to return crews to the moon by 2025.

It all adds up to Brevard County truly continuing to earn the title of Florida’s Space Coast. Viera welcomes all the new rocket scientists and supporting companies who will help launch men, women, equipment and science research into the future.
