AVET Project Announces Inaugural “Heroes for Military Kids 5K/Kids Dash” on April 11, 2026: Honoring the Sacrifices of Military Families and Their Children Patrick Space Force Base, FL – The AVET Project, a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit organization, is thrilled to host its first-ever Heroes for Military Kids 5K and Kids Dash on April 11, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. at The Avenues Viera.

This heartfelt event honors veterans, active-duty service members, and especially their children, while raising awareness and support for healing military families. These families sacrifice immensely to safeguard our freedoms—now it’s our chance to give back, helping them and their loved ones find renewed strength and healing.
