Autumn Fiber, Art & Craft Event

The Autumn Fiber, Art & Craft Event will celebrate the “work of our hands,” in a gathering of artisans on October 29th from 10 AM to 5 PM at Temple Israel of Brevard, 7300 Lake Andrew Drive in Viera.

The first-of-its-kind free event on the Space Coast will focus exclusively on handmade goods for sale from more than two dozen vendors, along with demonstrations in weaving, spinning and other fiber skills by the Space Coast Weavers and Fiber Artist Guild. The younger set can enjoy the children’s “Make & Take” art table and complimentary face painting by Miss Harriet. Art students from Palm Bay Magnet High will present their work for donations to fund their upcoming trip to Paris.

In addition to browsing vendor goods, event goers can also pre-register for instruction in the art of Japanese flower arranging, learn to make a felted cross body bag, or get an introduction to needle felting. Class fees include all materials. Grilled kosher hamburgers and hotdogs will be available for sale, along with an assortment of baked goods, soft drinks, coffee, beer and wine. To sign up for a class or more information about the Autumn Fiber, Art & Craft Event, call 276-768-6226.
