Duran Wins GRAA Award for 8th Year

January 4, 2021 – Duran Golf Course recently received notification from the Golf Range Association of America that Viera’s golf facility has once again been recognized as a Top 50 Practice Facility in the United States.

This marks the 8th year in a row that Duran has been honored with this prestigious award, which will include the course being featured in the next issue of the Golf Range Association magazine and a crystal award that will be prominently displayed with its seven brothers.

Considering the challenges of 2020, the activity of the Development Center at Duran has been nothing short of amazing, with rounds of par 3 golf up 30% so far over last year. Driving Range activity is up 51%, and golf lessons are up 25%.

The Head Golf Professional at Duran Golf Club is Matthew T. Morrison and he shared the congratulations with the Duran team: “A special thanks to Development Center Manager John Madden and the Development Center Team who have done a remarkable job in growing the business and creating an exciting atmosphere for our guests. Also a big thanks to Superintendent Drew Norman and the turfcare crew for maintaining a great product with the increased amount of traffic, and also to Instructors Justin Blazer and Abigale Schepperle for creating new lesson programs and operating one of the top junior programs in the country.”
