Construction Begins for Lakeside Park in Viera Town Center
May 16, 2025 – Construction has started on a wonderful new amenity for Viera Town Center and when completed the lakefront park will be a gathering place for concerts, farmers markets, art shows and weekend fun, food and entertainment.
Taking shape near Urban Prime and on the water, Rockledge-based W+J Construction Corp. is preparing the 2.5-acre site, which will feature a stage, a bar, green space and lots of room for food trucks and public events.
Eva Rey, the senior vice president of community management and communications for The Viera Company said the outdoor entertainment area will be different from a typical oval amphitheater with raised seats.
“What we are building is a performance stage and open field for people to gather,” Rey said.
“As soon as I saw the plans there, with a children’s playground and spaces for food trucks, I said, ‘What could be better than this?’ Owner/Executive Chef Ercan Ekinci of Urban Prime said. “People will come on the weekends for farmers markets, art shows and car shows. We can really bring the people here and have a great time.”
The project is expected to be completed by April of 2026.
