October 7, 2024 – Check out this great article in Space Coast Daily. Todd Pokrywa, president of the Viera Company and captain of the Team Viera Road Hockey squad, recently traveled with the team to his hometown of Toronto, Canada, to raise money to conquer cancer.
“Last month, I had the honor of serving as Captain of Team Viera for the third consecutive year in the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer tournament,” said Pokrywa.
“This year, the tournament raised a record-breaking $3.17 million for one of the world’s top five cancer research centers.”
Team Viera raised nearly $30,000 and proudly ranked as the 24th top fundraising team among over 140 participating teams.

“Each dollar raised is a step closer to breakthroughs that can save lives,” Pokrywa said, “I encourage everyone in my network to consider how you can contribute to this vital cause—whether through participation, donation, or simply sharing your own stories and connections to cancer research. Together, we can make a difference.
“Many thanks to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation’s Steve Merker, Brendan Ennis, and Jordan Harding, along with the countless volunteers who made this record-breaking event possible.”
