Brevard Zoo – 25 Years of Excellence
September 19, 2022 – The Association of Zoos & Aquariums is a national organization that calls their “Accreditation Quarter Century Award” the gold standard for zoo and aquarium quality. So it’s no surprise that Brevard Zoo is among the four awardees from around the country for 2022.
The honor recognizes the commitment to maintaining the highest standard in animal care, welfare, management, veterinary care, conservation, education, staffing, facilities, safety, guest services and more.
You may remember that in June of this year the readers of USA Today voted the Brevard Zoo as the 4th best zoo in the United States.
The zoo is a beautiful destination for the whole family, with habitats for 900 animals, zip lines above the exhibits, kayaks tours that allow you to paddle to see the residents more closely and many more activities.
It’s always a source of pride that this highly rated and thoughtfully managed zoo is right here in the Viera community.
