Brevard Zoo is consistently ranked one of the best zoos in the nation.
Every section of the Zoo is built to be interactive for its visitors and to provide a sense of being naturally in the wild.
The Brevard Zoo is an amazing attraction, opened in 1994 and funded by contributions and grants. The 56 acre site was donated by The Viera Company’s corporate parent, A. Duda & Sons, Inc. Today it’s a world-class zoo connected to TreeTop Trek aerial journeys with zip lines, obstacle courses and maze-like adventures for little explorers.
Brevard Zoo features close encounters with giraffes and armadillos, birds and butterflies, and on Lemur Island, in a rhino scubbing session, and get next to cheetahs on the other side of the glass. Hands-on educational experiences are the norm such as at Cold Blooded Weekend, youth camps, special events and at the Sea Turtle Healing Center.
