Nation-Wide Solar Eclipse at 2:42 P.M.

Monday, August 21, 2017

A solar eclipse at 2:42 P.M. happens today and you must have a pair of protective glasses for viewing. Stop by the Viera Discovery Center or our local models to pick up a pair while supplies last.

Event Details

For the first time in 99 years, America will experience a nation-wide solar eclipse! The sun will be completely eclipsed along a line, about 60 miles wide, all the way from South Carolina, westward to Oregon! All other areas of the continental U.S. will see at least a portion of the sun covered by the moon!

A total solar eclipse is the single most dramatic astronomical event you may ever see. We have glasses for this event available for a limited time while supplies last. Visit our social media pages at Facebook.com/VieraFlorida or on Twitter at Twitter.com/VieraVision for dates, times and locations.

The eclipse will happen at 2:42 P.M. and you must have protective equipment and eyewear to view the eclipse.
