Carmen Vastola

Carmen Vastola

Senior Ambassador

A Long Island native, Carmen moved to Brevard County in 1998 and watched the town of Viera grow. Though Carmen resides outside of Viera, she says she often finds herself traveling to Viera to enjoy its amenities. “There’s so much here,” says Carmen. “I come to Viera a lot to shop, go out to eat, and go to the movies. You can take advantage of all there is to do here. It’s easily accessible, and there’s something for everyone.”

She says one of Viera’s most unique attributes is that it contains city-like activities, while residents can still enjoy a tight-knit, suburban way of life. “The community is home to Duran Golf Club, the Space Coast Stadium and the Brevard Zoo, but then, it also has churches and parks and the Viera Regional Community Center,” says Carmen. “There is so much to do, and it’s right here in the heart of the county.”

Carmen calls upon her 10 years of administrative real estate experience to assist guests who are considering making Viera their home. Her hobbies include photography, kayaking, surfing and spending time with her two sons.

Tammy Perera

Tammy Perera

Ambassador

Born and raised in the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic, Tammy relocated to New York at the age of nine with her family, but returned as a young adult and earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture. She worked as a project manager for multiple construction sites while raising her three children. Upon her return to the United States, Tammy settled in Miami, Florida where she remained for 18 years. With a passion for helping others, Tammy further enhanced her professional repertoire in the medical and travel industry fields.

Tammy first came to Viera in the early 2000s to visit her daughter who had been transferred to Patrick Air Force Base. From that visit, she knew that the town was full of potential and poised for growth. In 2011, Tammy made the move to Viera, and has never been happier. She describes Viera as “a place where you can relax and live in a peaceful environment, but yet be close to multiple metropolitan areas. With lots of activities for kids, parks, shopping centers, restaurants and places of worship, when you are in Viera, you feel like you are part of a big family.” Now, as a community ambassador at the Viera Discovery Center, Tammy loves the opportunity she has to share Viera's history and her sincere love of the town, with the hope of encouraging others to be part of our community.

Tammy, who greets guests at the Viera Discovery Center on weekends, is fluent in Spanish, and is happy to assist all Spanish-speaking guests.
